Psychiatric Care and Treatment for Families
The staff at Kingwood Pines Hospital wants to help patients of all ages work through their mental health and addiction issues so they can lead better, happier and healthier lives.
Kingwood Pines Hospital is a behavioral health facility and treatment center that treats kids, teens, and adults who struggle with a psychiatric or chemical dependency disorder. Our treatment programs are designed to address issues such as depression, mood disorders, aggressive behavior and problems related to drugs and alcohol. Treatment plans will often involve a mix of individual therapy, group therapy and other treatment modalities.
Our Approach to Behavioral Health Treatment
Treatment is offered on an inpatient and outpatient basis to accommodate the severity of every psychiatric patient’s condition. We strongly encourage graduates of an inpatient program to step down to one of our outpatient treatment programs for continued progress in a less intensive setting. These outpatient programs allow patients to practice the coping skills they’ve learned through therapy at home, school, work or another community setting.
Family involvement is also encouraged to enhance recovery, so family members can expect family therapy and other collaborative group counseling opportunities. These opportunities will be presented and explained as treatment planning for the patient is done during the early stages of admission.

Kingwood Pines Hospital offers a generous continuum of care and mental health services to our patients. Our goal is to give options that will help them continue down their road to successful recovery after discharge from an inpatient stay. With programs that address a wide range of issues, such as adolescent psychiatric care for young people and mental health for adults, we want to ensure that whole families can seek care at our treatment facility.
From psychiatric acute care, detox services and addiction treatment, to partial hospitalization and programs for teen mental health issues, we provide a variety of options to help our patients achieve and maintain a fulfilling life after they leave our care.
