Comprehensive Psychiatric Care
for Adults
For adults, psychiatric and emotional problems can negatively affect careers, marriages and relationships. When these issues go untreated they can leave individuals and families heartbroken and unsure about where to go or what to do. Fortunately, no one has to face their troubles alone.
Whether you’re struggling with substance abuse or a personality disorder, help is available at Kingwood Pines Hospital. Our programs for adults aim to stabilize their pressing symptoms while providing them the skills they desperately need to maintain a positive mental health outlook once they leave our care.
Kingwood Pines Hospital offers a confidential, caring environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self-awareness, social skills and personal growth. The adult inpatient program is designed to treat psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression and more. Through treatment, therapy and medication management, we teach adults the skills and healthy coping mechanisms they need to deal with life’s ups and downs.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR ADULTS
Inpatient treatment is ideal for adult patients who need 24-hour care and require the immediate stabilization of symptoms. The treatment team of nurses and licensed therapists at our treatment center offer around-the-clock monitoring. This ensures that patients are secure, helps them learn skills that can improve daily living, and helps lead them toward recovery.
Kingwood Pines is also a chemical dependency facility. We offer a chemical dependency program for adults who struggle with drug or alcohol use and need help working through their substance use disorder. Dual diagnosis treatment is available for adults with co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders.
With addiction, it’s important to also treat any other co-occurring disorders that may set off or worsen the substance abuse issue, such as untreated depression or anxiety disorder. With our program, adults have the ability to take on both issues. We believe this sets ups patients for better, long-term outcomes once they’re back in their normal routines and dealing with stressors and triggers of everyday life.
As a psychiatric hospital with multiple levels of care for adults, treatment is also offered on an outpatient basis. This accommodates the needs of adults stable enough to live at home during treatment. The Branches Kingwood adult partial hospitalization program (PHP) and adult intensive outpatient program (IOP) are daytime therapy options for adults who don’t require around-the-clock supervision. They also provide options for those who need a step-down program following an inpatient treatment program.
BRANCHES ADULT OUTPATIENT PROGRAMS
The Branches Kingwood adult partial hospitalization program (PHP) and adult intensive outpatient program (IOP) are daytime therapy options for patients who do not need inpatient care. Both programs offer far more oversight and intensive therapy than traditional weekly visits with an outpatient counselor or therapist. Treatment includes psychiatrist visits, medication management, medication education groups, process groups and individual therapy. We’ll work with patients and families to plan for aftercare and help find other outpatient providers for continued therapy.
Adult PHP: Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Adult IOP: Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
